This is a whole raw (unwashed) fleece from one of my pedigree Shetland sheep, weighing just over 1.2kg. It is a mix of grey colours, varying from light to dark, with lighter sunbleached tips. This fleece is partly felted along the back so may be suitable for creating a felted fleece rug. It has a nice crimp and a staple length of approx 4", and would be suitable for hand spinning, weaving and other felting projects. As a raw fleece straight from the sheep there is some VM present although I have tried to remove the worst of it and skirted the fleece. Please note I can only post to GB addresses.
