A lovely example of a vintage punch needle rug item. It is a craft technique used to create rugs and wall hangings by pulling loops of yarn through a backing fabric. This "New-Way" Rug Needle comes complete with instructions. The instructions are a bit crumpled as it was wrapped around the rug needle when I found it, but can be read. I found this lovely item amongst the numerous things from my grandmother’s craft-making box. I think its age is mid-20th century. It assembles with ease and all sections are sound.
