This auction is for an antique bone (bovine) lace bobbin. Decorated shank with spot inscribed name and date ... SARAH 1819 ... This is a rare example of a dated bobbin, plus it is an early one. The reverse has a line of dominoes. With original spangles. Measures 3.5" in length. Bobbin head has large chip, so selling as a collectable only and not for use.
