There will be finger joints in the length of the edging. These are at random lengths, normally between 1m and 2m. This is normal for longer lengths of real wood veneer and edging. New, unfinished wood/edging will almost certainly be a lot lighter in colour than existing wood, especially as our material has been sanded.
