A vintage Patwin yarn cutter, with original box and instructions, cuts wool or yarn into approx 2.75 inch or 70 mm lengths suitable for latch-hooked rugs. Requires a standard double-edged razor blade, not supplied because of eBay restrictions. I've used it with some success for cutting chunky knitting yarn into lengths suitable for latch hooking, but the lengths can vary by up to 10mm, and the blade requires frequent replacing. Also included are eight balls of original Paton's Turkey rug wool in shade 973 (like oatmeal), with a bag of strands cut to c70mm from the same batch, and a large ball of unbranded yellow rug wool of a similar gauge to the turkey wool. The total weight of the wool is 560g.
