Green / wet timber The tree was felled a couple of years back on a farm near Garstang, Lancashire. and has been sat in 6ft 6" lengths since on a log pile. This was ideal for me to turn this trunk into bowl blanks. Because over the time it has sat, the main stress in the trunk has shown itself. I have milled the log specifically to take some big blanks, leaving the section with fractures as a mantle. The result being some perfecly structured grain for bowl blanks. Some spalting visable on some, Timber is still very solid and not punky at all. I also have blanks from the same log in the following sizes. 9x4¼ (5) 9x4⅛ (1) 8x4¼ (1) 6x5¼ (2) Thank you for viewing, any questions please ask.
