Improving clay bodies – Fireclay is often added to stoneware and sculpture clays to increase their resistance to high firing temperatures (typically cone 8–10 / 1,260–1,300°C). It can also add strength and reduce shrinkage during drying and firing.
AA Fireclay is ideal for use in ceramic industries for fire brick and refractory applications.
